Advanced GPS Configuration
What is this? Do I have to use this? The answer: probably not. Depending on your GPS device.
Altitude Correction
According to NMEA 0183 standard your GPS device should send the altitude above sea level. But some manufacturers think it's better to send altitude above the WGS-84 ellipsoid. Good news is however that your GPS device might also send the difference between those values. For Germany this value is about 45 m.
So if you're not happy with your altitude, first try automatic correction. If that doesn't help, you can still set a manual correction value.
GPSID Bug Fix
As far as we know, this applies only to the Mio A701. On this device, you'll get latitude/longitude values that seem to be multiplied by 100 (but not exactly so).
For instance you get "4712.234 1156.234" instead of "47.1111 11.3333". If this happens, try to check the "apply GPSID bug fix" checkbox. This behaviour is due to a bug in the GPS framework.
Do not turn on this feature on devices on which it is not required.
