Importing Routes from Google Earth

Routes are created within Google Earth as "Paths". You need to be a Google Earth Plus member (20$/year) to do this.

The process of creating a new route is fast and easy.

Step 1: Draw the path in Google Earth

Click the "Add Path" button and give a name to the new path. Then define the path points.

Step 2: Save the path as a Google Earth KML file

The new path appears in the "My Places" section. Right-click on the path and select "Save As". Change the file type to "KML".

Step 3: Get the file on your Pocket PC

Transmit the file using Microsoft ActiveSync and put it in "\My Documents\Run.GPS\routes".

Done - you can now see the route in Run.GPS.
