Run.GPS Filesystem
The Run.GPS data tree is located at "/My Documents/Run.GPS".
| Folder | Function |
| itm | InstantTrailMapping - this is the database that contains all the paths from previous trainings. If you want to reset this database, you can do so by stopping Run.GPS, then deleting all files in this folder, and restarting Run.GPS. |
| map_images | Contains all raster maps (JPEG) and XML descriptors (.kmz and .xml). |
| reports | Generated HTML reports from Run.GPS Analyzer. |
| routes | Contains routes in KML (Google Earth) and GPX format. You can directly copy your routes in there. |
| users | The user directories. |
| users/ | A users's directory containing an XML descriptor, the users's waypoints and training sessions. |
| users//trainingplans | The user's training plans as XML. |
| users//trainings// | Contains meta information as XMl (training.xml), the training waypoints (waypoints.xml) and the actual GPS data (training.csv). Can also contain images of file types PNG (*.png) or JPEG (*.jpg) (see Assigning Images to a Training for more). |
Moving the Run.GPS folder to the storage card
What can I do if the Run.GPS folder (in "My Documents") gets too big?
You might have a lot of map images, routes, tracks etc. in your Run.GPS folder and therefore you run out of data memory on your device.
Solution: move your Run.GPS folder away from main data memory to the storage card.
Follow these instructions:
- quit the Run.GPS application
- open "File Explorer" (Start Menu >>> Programs)
- select the "Run.GPS" folder (located in "My Documents")
- hold the pen on the item and select "cut" from the menu
- go to the storage card folder ("Storage Card" or "SD-MMCard", might be named differently)
- if there is no "My Documents" folder yet, create one by holding the pen and selecting "New Folder"
- go to the folder "\Storage Card\My Documents\", hold the pen down and select "paste"
- now you can restart Run.GPS - it will automatically recognize the new Run.GPS folder and use it
