Run.GPS.SerialTester

This tool is for testing your serial port if you have problems receiving GPS data with Run.GPS Trainer.

1) Download

Download the tool here: Run.GPS.SerialTester.exe (11 KB).

2) Put it on your PDA

Connect your PDA to your PC and copy the program anywhere you like using ActiveSync. Alternatively you can type in the download url (http://www.rungps.net/attach/SerialTestToolEN/Run.GPS.SerialTester.exe) on your PDA and download the program directly.

3) Start the program

Open "File Explorer" from the programs menu on your PDA. Start the program by clicking it with your stylus.

4) Run it

Make the settings for port and baud rate you think are correct for your PDA and push the "Connect" button. If you want to send the output to our support team, you should go to the outside and wait for a minute or more so the GPS receiver can get a fix.

Disconnect and close.

5) Send output to us

If you get NMEA codes but still Run.GPS won't run - send the output file to us. You will find the file at the top level ("/") of your device:

/rungpstest.log

You can transmit it by ActiveSync and send it by email to support@rungps.net. You will help us improving Run.GPS a lot by that!
