| Will i get a fix in Amsterdam? |
A gps fix that is! Im running the amsterdam marathon in September. I plan on using the same gear i'm using in the states and wondering will It fix on satellites?
I am using a PPC 6700 and a globalsat bt-338 http://www.globalsat.com.tw/eng/product_detail_00000039.htm
Feature:
1.SiRF Star III high performance and low power consumption chipset
2.Communication with Host platform Via Bluetooth Serial Port Profile
3.Built-in ceramic patch antenna
4.Superior sensitivity for urban canyon and foliage environment
5.3 LED to show the rechargeable Li-ion battery
6.Operation time:17 hours, in continuous mode
7.Bluetooth operation range:10 Meter
8. WAAS ENGOS is supported.
Also: Will my current location data still upload to the run-gps site? or does this use my usa phone service?
Thanks,
Chris |
