That's because the tracks sometimes have so many track points that they take really long to compute in the browser's Javascript engine. A faster computer should help :-)
> 1. Why does my personal page show an average speed of 0mph?
This is because if this training: http://www.gps-sport.net/detail.jsp?trainingID=3432 which took you almost 29 years (Duration: 10819.09:28:28). This training file is corrupt (incomplete, unexpected end of file). If you delete this training recording, your average speed will be okay again.
> 2. Why is there no pace on the personal page (its sooooo easy to calculate minutes per mile and is the cornerstone to many marathon training programs)
Okay it's on the feature requests list.
> 3. Why does it take sooo long for my runs to show up on my page? In the old software i'd upload from the driveway and come in and analyze my run. I got done 3 hours ago and still this mornings run is not on my page.
There's no difference between the old release and the new one regarding that issue. If it took 3 hours for a training to appear this may be due to one technical problem we had about a week ago. This made the training processor pause for a few hours. The problem is now fixed and all training uploads should appear within 1 minute.
> 4. In the old software i used to be able to put the lock on before starting training, then hit the windows button, scroll down to my music software (mortplayer), hit the middle button to switch programs, start my music, then switch back to uv and press the center joystick button to start training. Now even in the windows menu the center joystick button starts and stops training. Shouldnt this only happen when the focus is on run-gps?
Right, thanks! Bug will be fixed in 2.0.1 service release expected this evening.
> 5. Suggestion: It would be neat if instead of having mutually exclusive choices about speech duration, if you could use check marks to select multiple choices. For instance, i'd check updates every 3 minutes AND at the top of every mile. But I could see other uses for people who want an update every 3 and also one every 10 minutes or something of the sort. What can i say, i like the speech feature it keeps me entertained.
Oh yeah we'll discuss that but I think we shouldn't let it get to complicated ...
> 6. Is there are hard button for intitate speech? Lots of time i know how much millage i need to run but i decide the route on the fly... Run GPS could help me by telling me my stats at key decision points. This could be initiated by a hardbutton map or even a tap on the screen. (I'd need it to work in lock mode too).
Hmm interesting idea. There is no such thing yet - but it's been added to our feature request list.
> 7. I really enjoy this product. I can't imagine going for a long run with out it now! With one small peice of technology I can GPS my run, Use Navigation features, listen to 2 gigs worth of music, enjoy >4 hours of battery life and even phone home to have someone come pick me up if I bonk. Thanks for making a $60 piece of pocket pc software thats actually WORTH buying!! Keep up the great work guys!
Thanks Chris it always feels good to hear that.
