Yihaa !
In a last desperate effort to try and make the GPS work - I spent hours reading about GPS and Samsung Omnia series - Apparently the problem isnt only related tho the antenna - Many have tried changing the comport settings and baud rate - Choosing COM 9 + a higher baud rate seemed succesful ?
I ended up with Com 7 (programport), COM 9 (hardwareport) and baudrate 4800... Then i tried google maps, Rung gps and route 66 navigation on the phone - Position fix within 10 to 20 seconds max - Anytime , anywhere :-)
I ran 25 km. using the internal GPS and run gps (dop 24) - 100% stable with perfect speed calculation etc.
Then 25 km on my MTB - 100% stable with perfect speed calculation etc.
- Then i drove 40 km using route 66 - 100% stable with perfect speed calculation etc.
I have used my Samsung B7610 without external gps for 6 days now and havent had a single problem with the internal gps ????
I migth start missing the feeling of being captain Kirk when RunGps insisted on, that I just had beeen beamed to Sweeden or that i was running with the speed of a SR71A Blackbird ???
I bought a B7610 just for running (gps, maps, music ect...) But the GPS did'nt seem to work properly ?
- Afterwards i learned, that it is a known problem to many samsung mobiles - especially B7610....
So I bought an external GPS (bluetooth) / It works perfect... / i never found any other solution..

Hello
I have Omnia B7610 and I don't have such problems. Maybe sometimes on very bad weather.
My setting are:
In Run.GPS - windows managed on
In windows GPs settings on hardware tab - COM9 & baud rate 4800
