@dlorde: you are correct. I'm used to do the same now and everything's fine. By the way, I was wrong in my previous post, I need to activate GPS first. The only difference is that i'm using the earphone to get information and don't need to unlock the screen during the run.
@gebgebee - on my Desire (running Android 2.2), I activate GPS, start RunGPS, press 'Go', then switch the screen off (tap top button on Desire). Everything continues working while the screen is off. To check distance, position, or stop & upload data, tap on top button again, drag down screen unlock bar, and RunGPS is still there.
I don't even need to activate GPS first on my desire. It works pretty well but I need to find the way to lock the screen because the phone is in my pocket and there are a lot of unintented request on the screen during the training.
Anybody using Desire successfully? Other similar programs are working fine but RunGPS is not able to start the GPS and retrieve any GPS data. Also there seem to be some glitches in the UI with the big 800x480 screen..
