Now it should be possible since WP7 offers a compass.

This is already implemented for Google Android (Configuration >> GPS Settings >> use magnetic compass for speeds < 3 kph).

For WP7 it's not possible yet (no API = Application Programming Interface from Microsoft available).

I fully support this idea. It's stupid to have to walk just to find out the right direction. When we have this technical features we should use it. Please check if it is possible...even with WP7 ;o)

Hi @,
since the new Android and WinMo devices have a digital compass, it would be really cool if RunGPS would use it. Especially in very slow trail sections or at places with bad gps reception, an accurate compass would make it easier to navigate.
