I'am a new user of RunGPS and I'am surprised about the amount of functions of the software, but what I miss are the following:
1. configuration of the font size (streets, cities, altitude etc.), because I'am using a 800x480 display and the fonts are very small. (Prio high)
2. configuration of different navigation methods (like shortest (range/ time), most beautyful, onroad/ offroad etc.) so that you can choice the best navigating depending on what you want to do (e.g. onroad or offroad biking). (Prio low)
3. Use of complete off-line map-files in garmin *.img format, so that you can have an choice different maps for example of complete germany and must not download it every time from the openstreetmap portal. This would be a very nice feature to save time and cost, when you will travel in different areas. (Prio mid)
I hope, that's not to much effort to implement and some else find these fetures nice.
I totally agree.
The GPS-Sport community server really needs to be updated (it can't make the decision versus runkeeper, sportstracklive'n co), more than the app., IMHO. And I think it is the last one which don't have social network integration...
I totally agree with the Twitter and Facebook integration. I'd really like to see that one. Run.GPS is a great app, but i see others around me chosing runkeeper, because of that integration.
Hi, I'm a big fan of Run GPS and the GPS-Sport web service. From what I've seen this is probably the most competent GPS training app for phones. I really don't mean to put it down, but I do think that for some time focus of the development should move from new training functionality to more user experience related stuff.
I'd like to see these two priorites:
1. Update the the interface/design on both the phone app and the GPS-Sport community. In this area Run GPS is really lagging compared to other apps, and I believe the app suffers from it. I've had several friends that I've encouraged to use Run GPS that have choosen other apps (with less functionality) because of the design of Run GPS.
2. Implement Facebook/Twitter sharing functionality. It's simple integrations that can greatly market and spread the word of Run GPS.
After that I'd like to see heart rate interval training support, but that's another issue ;-)
