this is a bit difficult to explain... I'll try: when you push the + or - buttons for zooming, you do not directly set the scale you mention but you set the eye altitude.
The scale that you can see on the map is but the size of one grid element. But the grid itself changes in size. Which means that the scale does not directly correspond to the eye altitude.
The Run.GPS 2.0.7 build 720 zoom levels are (on the map screen on a 240x320 pixels device):
As you see, the actual scale change is linear but the scale displayed (the grid cell size) is not. This is necessary because otherwise you'd have grid scales like 333 m and you couldn't use those to estimate distances.
Hi! download works great with wifi. Another thing, more wish... zoom level. it is very huge difference between step - scale 70m and next one is 300m at maximum zoom in. Can you add 2 or 3 steps between tih two zoom levels?

If you want to load the maps of your local area:
- wait until you have a GPS signal
- zoom out as far as you want (max diameter 15 km)
- choose Download now in the Items on Map dialog - all tiles at all zoom levels for this area will be loaded
If you want to load the maps for a different area:
- load a route from Route Planner for this area
- select Full from the map settings dialog (full route is shown)
- choose Download now in the Items on Map dialog - all tiles at all zoom levels for this area will be loaded
