Hi MikeH

I also have an HTC Tytn II and have the same experience. I now use the freeware Slide2Unlock2 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=353008). With this one it's possible to lock the device and in the same time turn off the screen. The GPS however (and therefore also tracking and so on) stay running. It seems to be the only way, because the built-in standby turns off the screen, locks the keys and turns off the GPS.

Kind regards
Bjoern

Hy!

On the ETEN X500 WM5 I can switch the device off and RUN.GPS is still using the built in GPS receiver to save the track. But on the Vodafone Compact V with WM6 (HTC Tytn II) if I switch the device off the GPS unit gets disabled.

Could you provide or does anybody know a fix to swtich the TytnII off to save battery power but let the GPS unit be enabled?

By the way switching off means setting the display off by shortly pressing the on/off switch, no deep switch off!

Thanks!
