So, now I'm running v2.2.0 Build 916, and now instead of being in 'silence all' mode after exiting the program, it is in 'ring' mode but the volume is all the way down (which is virtually the same as 'silence all').
Apparently it has something to do with how the Comm Manager enables and disables bluetooth. With bluetooth disabled, I can use RUN.GPS then exit without any problems. When bluetooth is enabled, however, the ring mode always switches to 'silence all' upon exiting the program. One time, I think I also saw the ring mode change when I diabled bluetooth, but can't be sure.
Robert,
Thanks for the response. As long as I remember to adjust the ring mode as part of my post-exercise routine (phone radio on, bluetooth off, ring mode vibrate - in that order), life is good.
Does anyone else's phone emerge from the program with the ring mode in 'silence all' mode?
Sorry for the very late answer. Run.GPS only changes the volume setting, but no other setting at all regarding sound output. It does also change the power mode to keep the device from going to standby. So this must be one of those strange side effects you sometimes experience with these devices. Did anyone else notice this too?
I don't use the voice output most of the time, and therefore it is nearly always off. This seems to cause issues with my phone ring mode, since phone is set on vibrate before running the program and after quitting the application, it is on 'silence all', and won't do anything when a call comes in (I miss many calls this way).
I assume that turning the voice output off allows the application to switch the phone ring mode to 'silence all'. Is it possible for the application to set a variable at startup which notes the ring mode and returns the phone to this state when executing the 'quit application' command?
