no this is no way to do this yet. But we'll provide a more extensive list of icons in the new 2.2.0 release.

New Placemarks Icons & Descriptions

Would like to have the ability to create/import new Placemark Icons & Descriptions. The current list lacks sufficient choices - or is there a way to do this that I have missed?
