As I understand it from their website

https://dev.fitbit.com/docs/basics/

Fitbit offers only a web based API. We'd need a direct Bluetooth based API though. If you only
have a web API, this would mean that any data has to be sent to a server first and then downloaded
from there. Not a feasable solution for obtaining heart rate data.

I have a fitbit charge HR and was great to have rungps app to read fitbit charge HR, HR.

So when do we have this image at fitbit partnership page ?:
