Hi, yes you may use this workflow if you want to have a complete and correct training log. It's easier though to enter your correct training values directly by using the 'add manual training' form on your 'athlete homepage'.
Thanks, I now understand what 'add manual' is meant for. But editing is still potentially useful when the GPS hardware is not feeding a accurate data, or NMEA string, to the Run.GPS software as is in this example:
In this case I would like to edit the existing recorded route. As I understand it I'll have to delete this recorded training from the Run.GPS community server and update it with the 'add manual' training in the client application and then upload training again.
Editing senario as I understand the software works presently:
1. I record training data and it does not reflect reality and uploaded before realizing recorded data is incorrect.
2. Delete recorded training data from Run.GPS community Server
3. 'Add manual' training and enter the training data (not sure how to manually enter the route via the 'add manual' interface...just haven't looked at it yet because I'm having another issue).
4. Upload newly created (from 'add manual') route to community server and review change
Is this the correct workflow if the GPS hardware doesn't record the correct route?
Normally the date/time and duration of a GPS recorded training should be correct. The example you gave in your emails and the other forum entries was a problem with a mixed manual and recorded training session.
You can either
- record a training using the GPS (with not much editing possibilities)
or
- enter a manual training (on your client or on the server) (here you can enter any data you like)
I need to be able to edit more values included in a training file. Specifically this includes editing permissions on the client and server for the following training values: title, date/time and duration
