Maybe you didn't turn off the "terrain" layer in Google Earth? This is one of the most common mistakes.

Map correct in GPS-sports.net, not in phone

Hi there,

I use a HTC S710 mobile phone. When I download a map from Google Earth and copy it to my phone with the placemark-file, my position on the map is incorrect. So I cannot see my actual position. When I upload the training to GPSsports.net, the route actually is correct on the map. How is this possible? I followed the instructions from the manual.
