Well we have now changed the algorithm a bit: it now looks for all matching routes and takes the one that matches the distance of the training recording best. This should solve the problem - please try.

Ok. This is good idea, but life is more complicated :) If You're living in city, You know how hard to find good route. Were is little people, cars, dogs and with good surface. I run in night, so, good illumination is important too. Modification of old route is unavoidable when i need new distance (look at my routes if You can). So, after upload of training, when system will assign wrong route automatically, possibility of change would be useful. Just a little "combo list", on web page in training view or training profile, with all routes. But it's only a wish :) I'm still loving yours program.
This is how it works: GPS-Sport.net checks all nearby routes and if all route points of a route have been covered by a training session, the route is assigned to this training. Therefore, it may happen that a much smaller route is assigned if the smaller route is part of the bigger route. You can avoid this by changing the smaller route a bit so it isn't part of the bigger route.

Training on the same path is sometimes connected to different routes. When I know the route I don't want still to use the navigation. How I was surprised when training 5km long was assigning to 1km route :) Sorry, it's wish to gps-sport.net
