Hi Bosti,

1) Good idea but a bit difficult at the moment because we have all the routing stuff on one server and the SRTM altitude data (42 GB) on another one .. we'll think about it.

2) We'll add pink. And we'll probably scale the thickness for higher resolutions (800 x 480 ...)

Cheers

Tom

a few more ;-)

Hi!

More I use program, more ideas I get... just a few more:
1. On-line routing= great stuff. What about on-line calculation of height diagram? For example: I am cycling on unknown teritory and I would like to get back to car as soon as possible, because it is going to rain.. witch route is the fastest one? depends on height diagram...
2. on sun and on bike sometimes it is difficult to see the route line. could you add custom thickness of line? and that pink color, witch is not used on any topomaps...

regards, Bosti

Nice topographical maps!

Yes, Gosmore bike routing also uses footpaths:

Great! I tested version 1272 for 2 days and works perfect.

One question about routing calculation: option "bike" uses also footpaths? This is cool for mountainbiking, but not good for race bike.

And a few screen shots of use.

Hi Bosti

excellent idea!

You can try out our routing enabled beta here:

http://downloads.rungps.net/Setup_RunGPS_UV_EN_228_1272.exe

(as long as it's beta the routing service won't always be accessible but next week the release will come out)

Cheers

Hi!
I have tested Gosmore (http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Gosmore) and it works very well, except UI is not so good and data depends on coverage of OSM. So why don't build it into Run.GPS?

With such routing engine Run.GPS would become the ultimate SW not just for sport activities, but also usable for navigation in car (especially in well covered areas with OSM).

What do do you think?
