to be more precise, the trick, I tried and which worked, is the very first one you suggested:
" try starting a new (empty) training by starting and stopping and then copy the 3 valid files into that folder. Then load the training and push start and stop again to have the training.quk file rewritten."
Okay I have received the email with the 2 zip archives.
You're right: the training.quk files are empty, everything else seems okay.
Another thing to try:
1) copy a training.quk file from a valid training to the corrupt training dir
2) load the training (will display wrong data in the training log)
3) start and stop
4) now it should display correct data in the training log
The training.quk file is usually very small and contains only 30-40 bytes. This means that the display "0 KB" could still be correct.
If you want you can send us (info AT rungps.net) the 4 files and we can have a look.
Or try starting a new (empty) training by starting and stopping and then copy the 3 valid files into that folder. Then load the training and push start and stop again to have the training.quk file rewritten. (Don't know if that will really help - just an experiment).
in the directory of my "lost" training(s) I have the following files:
data.gpb 138KB
training.quk 0KB
training.xml 2KB
waypoints.xml 1KB
so I believe the issue is the file "training.quk" is empty, and therefore my training is not shown in rungps.
is there a way to recover it since obviously the actual data (in file data.gpb) is there ?
my last two training data record were not created on file the binary file "data" file is empty while the xml file "data" which contains the summary is existing. the strange thing is that I was actually able to export the file (in csv, kml, gpx), so it means that the data were present just after my training.
Is there an action to do in order to save the recorded data on the file ? or is it done automatically when you exist the application.
