I just started using Run.GPS today. I did a 4.6 mile run using the application on a Samsung BlackJack II. I noticed when I uploaded the track to Run.GPS the map was completely wrong, it looked like I was zig-zagging all over the city. BUT!!!, if you look at the "Navigation" screen on my device, the track indicated on the OpenStreets.org map is exactly the route I ran.
What would cause the device navigation map to have the correct tracking data, but the upload to be extremely off??
most likely the gps reception was not good, this is the fault of your gps chipset, the "rungps" software can't do much about it.
a trick is to set the DOP threshold in "rungps" to something around 7, so it won't record (in the gpx/kml export) point where the gps reception was not below that threshold.
it looks like you never got a good gps fix during your workout.
Used my Run GPS for the last 2 runs and when i upload it the info is all over the place. It records places that i have not run and adds incorrect route info.Why. I have a full licence for the software
