I have a working version now thanx to the community. I have also taken the advice of jochta and have copied the config.xml file to a seperate location in the event that I need to restore it on the fly.
I've accidentally done this too! You just need to edit the setting on the configuration file as DOCJOHN says.
I manually set the custom URL for live tracking this way too as it's easier IMO. I also take a backup of the configuration.xml file occasionally in case I mess something up and want to get the settings back.
Hello,
You can change this settings directly; Therfore you must open the file named "configuration.xml" with an editor. In my device the file location is on the storage card, in the folder \My Documents\Run.GPS
I accidently uncheck the "Use Hardware keys" option in the confoguration page. I am running RUN.gps on a Samsung Blackjack so I need the hardware keys to ENABLED. I now have no ability to even get in to the application when it loads. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it 4 times. Each time it reloaded with the hardware keys locked.
I have performed 4 hard rests of my device and then reinstalled RUN.gps. Upon fisrt use the keys are not locked and everything appears fine, but after I set all my user preferences and exit the application when I restart RUN.gps it is hardware key disabled again. Where on my Blackjack is RUN.gps storing the config files so I can do a clean deletion as it appears these files are not being deleted even when perfroming a HARD Reset of the Blackjack?
