Bump!
Is it just my friends that get confused with this?
'You haven't gone far in 10 seconds'
'Thats because I'm only updating the live track every 10 minutes'
'But it says every 10 seconds on the web site'
ad nauseam....
Really, it will take you 10 seconds to change the text on the website to tell the truth, i.e. 'live tracking update every 10 secs to 30 mins' and save a whole lot of confusion :)
well perhaps tell the reader the truth and that tracking may be 'updated between every 5 secs to 30 mins' because at the moment friends expect it to be updated every 10 seconds and can not undertstand why I am sitting around for so long ;)
Yes but this would not be so convenient, because - for example - if a user sets 30 minutes update rate on his PDA and then changes it to 10 seconds, one would have to wait up to 30 minutes for the change to get effecitve on the browser.
On the GPS.sport server, it says live tracking is updated every 10 seconds, even if you only have live tracking (transmission) set for 1 minute etc on your PDA. This is confusing. It would be better if the script on the website reflected the time interval set on your PDA.
