What hapen to this version?
Only parts (litle parts apear). After a long trainning ......... what i see in the map and the trainning log? Nothing-What a fake
I just started to use Run.GPS during my vacation in Austria and it looks like I've got the same issue for several of the hikes I did. During the hike the full trail is shown on the map and the accurate data is shown but as soon as I want to look at the training later it only shows a small part of the hike I did.
When I start Run.GPS and go to the Main Menu, I select “Training Log & Plan”. Here I see the list of hikes I did during my vacation. As example, one of the hikes I did indicates “(05:18:20) 21,32km”. When I select the training the correct details are shown, however as soon as I do “Load Training” it shows me the Training Time is 00:34:27 and it only shows the first 3.7Km on the map on the map.
Do more people see these issues?
(Recorded with Run.GPS 2.2.5 on a HTC Tytn II with an external Bluetooth GPS receiver)
Take a look at this training from today: http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/Rhone-Rollercoaster_29089
When I finished and pressed STOP, the full 49 km track appeared correctly on the Run.GPS Maps page (with a OpenStreetMap overlay) and the the altitude vs Distance profile appeared correctly on the Diagram page. Training time of 1:52:38 was correct, but Active Time of 1:00:57 was incorrect. (I had taken less than 2 mins of breaks). No pictures, no phone calls, no interuptions from the PDA.
Without closing Run.GPS I uploaded the route to the GPS.Sport portal via my Wifi. The track appeared truncated on the Google map at approximately 5 km- indicated by the straight line. (To see what the missing section looks like, see for example: http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/Geneva-vinyard-ramble-with-Will_20498).
I then closed and opened Run.GPS and re-loaded the training. This time the Active time was nearly correct 1:50:10 but the track had been truncated the same as the Google Map online.
One factor may be that my PDA evidently has a problem with GPS reception in that area (where I regularly ride). See for example the truncated track from nearly exactly the same spot here: http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/Easy-wanderings-with-Will_17816
But this trunctation has happened before in other areas too. See for example http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/Saleve-Quick-Loop_27660 where the track was just cut off, yet before I closed Run.GPS all appears normal. There are other examples of this problem, but I do not have time to find them all at the moment.
This is all very frustrating, confusing and makes it hard for me to trust Run.GPS. What is going on? If it is a simple hardware problem of lost GPS signal, why does the track (and altitude profile) appear fine before I close the program? Why is the total distance correct (verified by my bicycle computer) before and after program closure, yet the track appears to have cut by approximately 10 km out? Why the descrepencies in Total time vs Active Time before and after program closurer?
I have not tried to upload today's training again and will wait until I get a response to this message before doing so.
