Thanks Robert. I switched off the automatic lap-switching. The next time after a navigation trip I will come back to. Uptill now I'm impressed by your very good and fast service.

Okay since you've got no GSM the reason I suggested cannot be the real reason ...
I've downloaded your GPS data and it does not seem like the GPS weakness is the problem, because if it was, it hadn't recorded the full 40.70 km in the first place.
there seems to be a different problem. What we had with some customers is that their SD-Cards produce IO errors when the device is shaked too hard. Could this maybe be the problem?
When there is an IO error in some place in the recording, the recording would be split at this point by Run.GPS in order to repair it. You might still find the original training ".bak" file in the file system.

then your device switched to a german cell network operator
My PDA has no GSM included. So that could not be the case to my opinion. Yesterday I recorded another trip, without navigation, just recording, no problem at all. And that trip went through Holland and Germany. See http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/Afsluitende-rit-zomerseizoen-28-9-08_48649.
I still suspect the message "gps signal weak". Exactly at the point the map ends. Maybe it sounds stubborn, but still. I discovered too just now, that the route is divided into 3 laps: Lap 1= 2.18 km, lap 2 = 0.30 km, and lap 3 = 5.61 km. Apparently there was an automatic lap-switching?

I don't think this is the problem - because the signal was okay later on.
More likely is the following: you got close to the german border, then your device switched to a german cell network operator, which automatically modified the time settings (this happens although NL and DE has the same time zone!). Since the internal clock was re-adjusted at that point, Run.GPS filters out all data upon uploading because time will be in history as seen from the last recorded point. Sorry for this confusing comment, but more important is: this should not happen in the latest 2.2.7 version, soon to appear.
You can already download a Beta release from http://downloads.rungps.net/Setup_RunGPS_UV_EN_build_1214.exe
Lately I have some troubles with the trainingreports. Only a small part of the training seems to be uploaded on to the website. We navigated an existing gpx-route on the bike, for more than 40 km's. It went fine, the instructions of rungps were clear, no problems at all. The training was also recorded, and at the end the display mentioned it was 40.70 km's, the map on the rungps was complete. However, uploading the training to gps-sport.net there was a message that only 2 of the 3 parts were uploaded. The data on gps-sport.net (http://www.gps-sport.net/trainings/01-Ter-Huurne-2008_48322) was only of a part of the training. What is wrong??
