Yes GPS-Sport.net is intended as a sports community where people can share their training data and routes. But of course we do understand that it is not always good to share your whereabouts with everyone. So, uploaded data will remain public by default in the future, but users will have the choice in a later release.
The first component that permits that choice is the new training planning module. Other modules will follow, but there is no fixed date yet for that functionality.
At first, I had a similar view regarding privacy, but once I realized that the GPS.Sport website is designed as a community of people sharing their athletic events, places of interest, paths, etc I changed my mind. It would be like joining MySpace, creating a profile then asking the site to keep it private.
You don't have to upload information to the website to use the program. Keep it on your PDA. Delete it. There is always the option to create a .zip file of each training and transfer it to a PC.
I think it's best to keep the website public in the spirit of the original intent when it was created. That's why I purchased the program.
> -Is it possible to upload only training events which are selected?
Yes it is possible.
> -Is it possible to delete single training sessions already uploaded from th server?
Yes it is possible.
> -Is it possible to decide whether the upload is for the logged in user or for the public?
No. Everything you upload or create on the website is viewable to the public - except for your email address of course. You don't have to supply any real name, so you can stay completely anonymous.
