Same here,

I cannot go to the today-screen with my Asus MyPal 636 (WM 5.0).
Version is 2.3.2.

Please fix this ;)

2.3.2 makes no difference to my WM 6.0 system; still can't task switch.
But I may 'upgrade' (just the word makes me shiver!) to 6.1 because for no apparent reason my PC has stopped recognising my PDA when i connect via USB for Activesync and hence I might have to do a hard reset. Nothing to do with Run.gps I might add, but a real PITA :(

2.32 seems to have fixed this. It appears as a task on my device now.

Can we expect a better fix for this? Its still a pain to get in/out of run.gps as it refuses 3 types of task switching I have tried, and can only be got rid of by pressing End button, and only switched back to by selecting the program from the Start menu.

Yep, same for me. End call button now returns to Today screen, but still unable to task switch using Window task manager (this has not worked for a few versions now) and sometimes unable to task switch using AltTab.
In other words, Run.gps is like TomTom, rather badly behaved in the WM shell environment !

Cool, End Call button takes me back to the today screen now. Good work!

However, Run.GPS still doesn't appear as a running task in Task Manager which makes switching back to it slightly awkward. Not a huge problem though.

Cheers

John

PS Many thanks for fixing the remembering the Live Tracking setting between sessions in 2.3.1. A new undocumented feature/fix but one I was most looking forward to!

Hi Barry + Jochta,

You're right about the 'End call' button. We have now added that button to the list of buttons for minimizing and a new minor release 2.3.1 build 1503 will be on the server in 1 hour from now.

The reason why Run.GPS does not appear in the task manager is the Windows CE support. But this should also be fixed in the new build.

Cheers,

Tom

Tom,
None of you button solutions work on my Touch Cruise running WM6.0
Same for as jochta. Run.gps seems to have taken over by stealth! It seems to think it is the Today Screen and does not appear as a running task (this second problen I have had with the windows task manager for some versions of run.gps, but ignore it because I use the much better AltTab task switcher [which used to show run.gps as a task ok before 2.3.1] which can be assigned to a hard key.)

Normally one of the following buttons should bring you back to the Today screen:
- the OK button
- the Home button
- the Windows Menu button

So I guess none of these works for you, right? We'll investigate and try to find a solution for that.

I have the exact same problem on my MWg Zinc II with 2.3.1. There appears to be no way to get back to the Today screen without quitting Run.GPS which is a bit of an issue!

Run.GPS doesn't appear to show as a running task either. This is in Windows Mobile 6.1.
